T-Adapters |

A T-adapter is a coupling tube
that connects your 35mm single lens reflex camera (with its lens removed) to your
telescope or spotting scope. It lets you take full disk pictures of the Sun and Moon, as
well as pictures of distant objects here on Earth. One end of the T-adapter threads onto
the rear cell of your catadioptric scope (or into the 1.25" focuser drawtube of some
refractors and reflectors) in place of the star diagonal and eyepiece. Its opposite end
has male 42mm x 0.75mm pitch T-2 threads that connect to an optional T-ring designed to
fit your particular camera. All T-adapters need an optional T-ring to connect them to a
camera. A slip ring on the T-adapter allows you to rotate your camera to align it
horizontally or vertically for the best composition. A T-adapter can also be used to
connect SBIG self-guiding CCD cameras to your scope.

Maksutov-Cassegrain telescopes; can also be used with Meade 4" to 7" APO
refractors by adding Universal Thread Adapter #UTA; not for use with 3.5" ETX astro

Meade #64 T-Adapter: fits Meade 3.5" ETX astronomical and spotting scope Maksutov-Cassegrains only;
consists of two parts; basic adapter converts the ETX to a 1250mm f/14 telephoto lens
(although with some vignetting, or cutting off, of the image); adding the supplied
extension tube eliminates the vignetting, but increases focal length to 1450mm and focal
