  IAUC 7611 discovered April 18.4, 2001 by LOTOSS Found in IC 4423 at R.A. = 14h26m17s.00, Decl. = +26o14'55".8 (N. Fukuhara finder chart) Located 10".3 west and 9".3 north of the nucleus of IC 4423 Mag 16.3 and rising, Type Ia (References: IAUC 7612)
  

  Photos of SN 2001ay have been taken by Mitja Šiška and Peter Mihor 24th of April 2001, at 22:25 UTC with CCD ST7 (no Filter), exposure:70s, telescope SC 10", f/6.3", city Ljubljana, state Slovenia. We estimate CCD magnitude near value 16.6.
  Picture is bad quality because image has been done from city Ljubljana, where light pollution is very strong.
