SN 2001v have been taken by Zorko Vičar, Mitja Šiška and Peter Mihor
26th of February 2001, at 22:20 UTC with CCD ST7 (no Filter), exposure: 60s,
telescope SC 10", f/10", city Ljubljana, state Slovenia.
We estimate CCD magnitude near value 14.6.
Picture is bad quality because image has been done from city Ljubljana,
where light pollution is very strong.
SN 2001v two months later (ccd mag. without filter is about 15,9).
Picture have been taken by Peter Mihor and Mitja Šiška
24th of April 2001, at 21:47 UTC with CCD ST7 (no Filter), exposure: 60s,
telescope SC 10", f/6,3", city Ljubljana, state Slovenia.
CfA spectrum taken 2001/02/20 covers a broader wavelength range,
showing the extremely high velocity of the calcium H&K absorption
feature.

Comparison between two Spectra curves of supernova
(SN2001V and SN2001G, type Ia supernova). Curves are very
similar (stronga absorbtion at Si II 615 nm = 6150 A),
H - no Balmer Lines).
Balmer lines (J. Balmer)
Emission or absorption lines in the spectrum of hydrogen that
arise from transitions between the second (or first excited)
state and higher energy states of the hydrogen atom. They were
discovered by Swiss physicist J. J. Balmer.
